This month in Morris Accounting news…
July happenings
We had a bit of a rude shock a couple of weeks ago, when during a routine Workplace Health and Safety inspection (while in the midst of our bathroom renovations) we were advised we had asbestos – meaning we had to unexpectedly evacuate for a week. I’d like acknowledge and thank my amazing team who took this all in their stride and packed everything up to work from home for that period. It’s been a bit back-and-forth, but we think we are now back in our office for good! Pending any more natural disasters…
Our aim was for minimal disruption to client services during this period, but if you were inconvenienced, or it took us a bit longer to return your voicemail or email, please accept our apologies. It was a crazy time for us.
Don’t forget we have re-launched our power lunch series – the next one is this Wednesday 27 July. Due to the popularity of this event, we have changed our venue from our offices to the Lord Stanley Hotel Function Room. Let us know if you would like to attend as bookings are required.
Don’t forget that we are also working with many of our business clients to help them tweak their business so they can have improved results in the next 12months and beyond. We will be looking at how you can improve your business at the August power lunch on Wednesday 10 August at the Lord Stanley Hotel.
‘Til next time

Planning for an untimely death
I know that we all like to think we will live forever, but the reality is we don’t. As those of us who have lost loved ones know, it’s hard enough without any added anxiety over worrying about financial matters that may not have been adequately put in place.
