Morris Accounting works with a large cross section of clients on advisory issues such as asset protection, business management, tax minimisation strategies and business expansion planning for small, medium and large businesses. We also help clients with business valuations, acquisitions and sales.
Mission Statement – We are more than a once a year accounting firm. We are proactive accountants who provide personal attention to our clients in order to improve their tax position and achieve their ultimate wealth creation.
Vision statement – A business and professional services practice serving as a hub for individuals and businesses to connect and be educated to improve business and achieve greater wealth for all clients.
Our industry experience covers most small to medium businesses, including professionals, manufacturing, wholesaling, retailing, hospitality, and primary production.
Our specialty is the property, building and construction industry.
As a result of working for a number of organisations during our careers, there are a number of people that we have contact with who assist us in the delivery of our core services. This suits people who are seeking flexible work arrangements including part time mothers, people who travel overseas regularly and others who wish to work outside a standard 9 to 5 regime. In general, our people are degree and post grad qualified and have been trained by large or medium tier accountancy firms.
Melanie Gray
Office Manager
Melanie has been with us for almost two years, and came from a 14 year stint in the retail sector to give our clients great customer service. She manages all things administration, including client workflow, and can help you with most enquiries.

Receptionist and Administration
I’m an administration assistant here at Morris Accounting. My previous positions have been reception roles in some of the finest spas in Brisbane. Morris Accounting is similar to the spas in an important way: the employees genuinely care about their clients and strive to get the best results for them. The environment is happy and creative, making Morris Accounting feel like a home away from home. On my break, I read or talk to the team. What has been your biggest challenge: Trying to complete my ever-increasing bucket list.
What is your favourite movie and why: ‘His Girl Friday’, because I love watching women with gumption.
If a movie was made of your life, who would play you: It would be a modern fairytale animation starring Drew Barrymore and I would have a little cameo role.
Favourite place to go in Brisbane: The Jazz Club.
What I like most about living in Brisbane: The people.
Favourite holiday destination? And where is your next holiday?: The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, that place is where it’s happening. I hear there’s some good places on Earth as well.

Clayton McCafferey
Accountant
Clayton has been with us for over a year, and is our accountant who looks after individuals and small to medium businesses. He looks after tax returns and Business Activity Statements for most clients. He is originally from Townsville, and has been working for more than four years in the industry, where he is currently finishing his accounting degree studies.
When not working, Clayton loves to get outdoors to go to the beach, fishing, camping, quad bike riding, jet skiing, going to gym, keeping fit, going to the movies, playing touch, his favourite movie is Crocodille Dundee.

I’m an accountant here at Morris Accounting. Before Morris Accounting I used to work at PMT Water Engineering as a personal assistant. Hobbies: I would say travelling and trying new foods.
What has been your biggest challenge, either at work or in life? My biggest challenge so far was to move by myself to Australia at the age of 17.
What is your favourite movie and why? Pirates of the Caribbean (I love Johnny Depp’s acting), Ice Age (it’s just the best cartoon ever 
), Changeling (I like movies based on true stories).
If a movie was made of your life, who would play you? Who would play me? I’m too unique to trust this role to be played by someone else
Favourite place to go in Brisbane. Fridays, Jade Buddha, Cloudland
What I like most about living in Brisbane The weather and very relaxed atmosphere, moreover people are very friendly
Favourite holiday destination? And where is your next holiday? So far the place I would go again and again is St Petersburg in Russia and Prague in Czech Republic, however I would like to explore Latin America, especially Brazil.
